I wish I could say that I am perfectly happy with how this turned out, but I am a little on the dissatisfied side.  First off the picture does not really do justice to the centre image, IRL it is much more vibrant.  Sadly the flash kept reflecting on the micro beads.  The new colors are amazing though.  When I first got a peak at them from demonstrators who had been on the cruise, I had been disappointed!  I did not want to see my lovely present In colors disappear, and my mind was closed to the new.  Now that I have the new colors in my hand, I am amazed at how much I love them.  They have so grown on me. 
Now the reason I am unsure about this card is because of the size of the main beaded image.  Because I normally stick to one main stamp set each club, I had to work with what I had.  The images are not that big so I could not do a larger panel and be left with all that blank space.  So I opted with this more narrow one.  Then came the trick of placement.  How to make such a small panel not get lost in the whole card. I opted with the sketch challenge on Splitcoast from a couple of weeks ago.  Hope you like.

Images were stamped, colored and sponged after cutting pieces.  Red line tape was applied over main image and then it was pressed with micro beads.  ( I keep my micro beads in a container for ease of use).  Images were matted, greeting was placed and everything was adhered to Sanded background.  White gel pen was used around.

I know that it has been forever since I posted here.  I’ll be lucky if anyone still looks lol.  If you follow my other blog, then you will know I am involved in a big secret project!  It’s secret because until everything is said and done, it could still go bust!  But I am close to completion and almost ready to share.  So on to my long neglected blog.  Today’s card is part of my Stamper’s Club.  The ladies wanted to try out a pop-up card, so that is the first project that I am sharing.  The outside is simple since there is still work that has to go on inside.

The inside is pretty fun.  All I use for it is the Neighborhood wheel.  There is plenty of bling in the form of sparkles on the window.  This card is great for a welcome to the neighborhood or congrats on a new home.

Ink:  Old Olive, Basic Black, So Saffron, Soft Sky, Tempting Turquoise, Pacific Point( new in color)
Paper:  So Saffron, Soft Sky, Celery, Whisper White
Other:  Stamp-ma-Jig, Watercolor crayons, Celery ribbon, Dazzling Diamonds, black SU marker, Artichoke marker, Coluzzle.

I started by cutting out my basic card size and the mat’s.  I sketched and cut a cloud template.  I sponged my sky BG in SSky and TTurquoise.  Next I sponged the base with more of the same color.  The CCelery layer was sponged with OOlive and stamped with flower from accessories pack using Artichoke marker ( stem omitted).  I then wheeled out my houses, colored it in and cut it out with X-acto.  I cut 3 strips of 4″ x 1″ whisper white and creased every 1″.  Folds were made and coordinating ink was sponged to blend with grass and sky.  Sticky strip was added and the paper strips were adhered to house back and sky and grass mat’s.  The front of card was just stamped using stamp-ma-jig and colored with water color crayons.  Coluzzle was used to cut out.  Distressing was done to the Celery oval mat.  Everything else is easy peasy.

Yup, its that time of month again!!  Stamper’s Club.  Jut to tell you how out of it I am, I thought it was last week.  I was sick with a flu/cold? as well as the children.  I went around making calls that it would be canceled until one of my nice ladies informed me that we did not have Stampers Club on Friday, and that it was next week.  Oh well, at least that alleviated the guilt as I called all those machines back and left messages again telling everyone to disregard my last message lol.  Forgot May had 5 Fridays in it.
Ok, so about the card now:

I wanted to create an unusual combo of stamps for this card.  My inspiration was some common elements found in the art of India.  If you look at their art, you see a lot of warm bright spice colors, as well as a border of flowers, vines and images surrounding the focal image.  In this case the Stitched BG was perfect to create that rich border.  It was colored in with Blender pens, and two colors of ink for each element.  I kept the colors fairly soft compared to my inspirations.  The lion was stamped 3 times.  Once on the whisper white mat and the head twice on scraps.  Wild about you was stamped using the stamp-ma-jig.  Then the face was cut out after it was adhered to the Olive mat.  The main was cut out of the orange layer, and the face out of the mustard.  The penny was placed below the hole of the original image and a pop up dot reinforced with crystal effects was placed on top.  The Orange head was adhered with the pop-up and then the mustard face popped up on to the orange.  This is the Tilt technique featured recently on Splitcoast.  Everything was then put together.  Stay tuned for my next project from Stampers Club.

Yesterday, I decided to kill 2 birds with one stone and do the Tuesday and Wednesday challenge together.    The color challenge was to use Celery, Pretty in PInk and Chocolate chip together.  Needless to say it was easier then the challenge from 2 weeks ago to combine Real Red, Night of Navy and Glorious Green.  In my opinion the green was anything but glorious!  Anyways enough of my whining.

Paper:  Celery DP, Pretty in Pink, Chocolate Chip, Vanilla
Other:  Dazzling Diamond ( plain and colored with Summer Sun), Colozzle, Old Olive Wide Grosgrain, Pop-up dots, White gel pen.
Image was stamped on Vanilla and then cut out as one.  Second top was stamped and popped up on it.  Circles were cut out with colozzle, and the vanilla circle was sponged with Banana on outer edges and Mustard in center area.  Balloons were stamped on Pretty in Pink layer, everything was matted.  Ribbon was tied using a faux knot.  Candle was adhered with Crystal effects, and last everything was glittered.

Well I am doing two posts today because I am a bit late posting this.  My first Stampers Club was last Friday, and my next one is this Friday, so only some of you got sneak peaks!  I focused in on the Bloomin Beautiful stamp set which I just fell in love with!  The images are so perfect for painting, as well as for showing an elegant style!

This first card shows popping up, as well as going outside the box.

Image was stamped and then a box was traced around leaving a section of flowers above the box line.  Image was stamped 2 more times.  Sections were colored, cut and then adhered in layers, with the highest layer being the bee.  Coloring was done with ink and blender pen.  Dazzling Diamond was dotted in all the flower centers.

This next card was using only Bloomin Beautiful.

Other:  1 3/8 and 1 1/4 circle punch, SU markers: Mustard, Real Red, Burgundy, Old Olive, Artichoke,  Gold embossing pwd., peircing tool, mat pack, red grosgrain ribbon, Crop-O-Dile, Gold marker, water color brushes.
Start by embossing image on watercolor paper using Versamark and gold embossing pwd .  Image was then colored using markers and water color brushes.  Tutorial can be found bellow on last post.  Peircing was then added.

This last project is a gift card holder.

You would not believe what a hard time I had with updating since I made this card on Splitcoast for the color challenge.  Every time I tried to upload here, the window would stop the upload process and tell me it was updating for 5 minutes, but the  minutes never ended.  Then another day, the picture just wouldn’t show.  Finally I have figured everything out and here it is!  The color challenge was to use Guava, Blush Blossom and Basic Grey.

Ink:  Guava, Blush Blossom, touch of Mustard, Versamark
Paper:  SU watercolor paper, Basic Grey, Guava, Blush Blossom
Other:  Gold embossing pwd., SU markers in Turquoise, Old Olive, Hunter, Celery, Blush Blossom, Pretty pink, Regal Rose, Summer Sun, Mustard , Re-inkers in Guava and I mixed a couple of colors together to achieve the vase color, Organdy ribbon, Pop-up, Nestability ruffled circle which can be changed to plain circle with Coluzzle and last the window punch.
BG was stamped with Guava, and then sponged with other ink colors.  On watercolor paper image was stamped with Versamark and then embossed with gold.  Image was then cut and then colored using marker painting.  Tutorial’s for marker painting can be found on my other Blog.  Marker 1 and marker 2.    The image was then matted and dotted with a white gel pen.  A hole was punched using the Crop-O-Dile and then ribbon run through and everything assembled.

When I saw this card from Beate  I fell in love with it.  The colors, and the style were all perfect!  I decided to do my own with some minor changes.  I added in a Hanglar stamp which was colored in with Copic Markers, and added lots of gel dot accents.  Just a short post today,  I will not be posting a lot of non Stampin Up cards, but you will be getting the occasional Hanglar!

Well, here is the second card for my Thursday and Friday Stampers Club.  There will be one small variation between classes, and that is that the flower will be different ( due to the quantity available in the pretties kit ).  For the smaller flower, it will be on top of the two layered flowers, rather than behind.

Image of small sprig of flowers was stamped on watercolor paper, then colored with markers and watercolored over.  Double flowers were stamped on watercolor paper, cut out and then attached with silk flower to card.  Silk flower was colored using aqua painter and watercolor crayon.  Ribbon uses faux knot!

I have been absolutely horrible with my posting I know.  I have been so busy with classes and DT work that I have only know had time to post.  This card is one of the cards designed for my Stampers Club next week.  I have two classes, one will get this color scheme, and the other will get a slightly different color scheme.  It’s a matter of having enough DP.  The color family’s will stay the same though.  The inspiring card for this one was from Andrea’s Stamping Blog.  Her card was so beautiful that I just had to do my own take on it!

This is a simple card which uses coloring of small blossoms with blender pen, popping up several of the small blossoms, stamping and embossing the larger flowers and coloring with markers.  Everything else is pretty easy!
